BOHO LOCOS : WHAT IS BOHO FASHION?
The bohemian style is more than just a trend of fashion, it is a true culture in its own right, a culture that is accompanied by a very specific ideology and a complex history. Although it is closely associated with the hippie fashion of the 60s and 70s, nowadays, bohemian fashion is part of the dominant culture. But in fact, bohemian fashion began as a counterculture in the 19th century. Today, the wide variety of Boho clothing and accessories make it a real phenomenon, a style that follows the lines of fashion effortlessly and relaxed, with loose clothing, casual accessories and a mish-mash of elements. The modes labeled as bohemian represent the lifestyle ideology that accompanies them: an alternative to the traditional way of dressing, associated with an alternative lifestyle, more liberated and a social position against everything from materialism to the constraints of society.

A little history
The bohemian style is defined as a type of alternative mode, different from the dominant tendencies of a given period. In fact, this exact definition applies to the whole history of the trend. More than 200 years ago, the term bohemian referred to a sense of exotic style, usually associated with artists of the time, as well as writers and some eccentric intellectuals.
The first mention of Gypsies dates from the end of the 18th century, at the time of the French Revolution. At the time, because of the social and economic climate, artists and creative people were forced to live in poverty. As a result, artists of the time began to wear old and worn clothes. Shortly after, once the economic climate stabilized, artists began to express their creative side more through clothing - and more often, in an eccentric and highly artistic way.

At the beginning of the 20th century, creators began to move bohemian fashion to a higher level. Among them, Paul Poiret, who has incorporated a variety of ethnic details into his designs, including Russian and Middle Eastern elements. Similarly, textile designer William Morris has created a variety of patterns for interior design and fashion, featuring lush floral prints, patterns and swirls, all intricate and highly ornamental.
